Cleveland Jazz Orchestra

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra is a 16-member professional big band, led by Artistic Director Sean Jones, that features some of the best jazz musicians in Northeast Ohio. For 25 years CJO has set the standard for large ensemble jazz performance, whether playing swing tunes from the 1940's, contemporary compositions and everything in between. CJO exists to celebrate the uniquely American art form that is jazz, and to do its part to continue moving this art form forward. CJO presents an annual concert series each year, works with high school jazz students in hands-on clinics and is frequently contracted to perform at community music festivals and other events during the year. You can hear us perform at the Hanna Theatre in PlayhouseSquare during our annual concert series (presented November through May) or at one of the FREE CJO Quartet concerts we present each year. For a more traditional swing concert, check out our annual "Swingin' at the Temple" concert at Fairmount Temple in Beachwood.

Cleveland Jazz Orchestra is a member of Cleveland Arts Education Consortium (CAEC).
